History & Philosophy of Ayurveda and Yoga

Month 2:
Ayurvedic Anatomy & Physiology I: Element, Doshas, Subdoshas. Ayurvedic Assessment of Prakruti & Vikruti.

Month 3:
Ayurvedic Nutrition & Cooking Part I: Traditional View.

Month 4:
Ayurvedic Anatomy & Physiology II: Digestion, Agni, Ama, Digestive herbs and spices.

Month 5:
Ayurvedic Nutrition & Cooking Part II: Therapeutic Diets.

Month 6:
Dinacharya: Ayurvedic Lifestyle Management Part I.

Month 7:
Dinacharya: Ayurvedic Lifestyle Management Part II.

Month 8:
Ayurvedic Anatomy & Physiology Part III: Dhatus, Srotamsi, Ayurvedic Pathogenesis.

Month 9:
Ayurvedic Psychology and Evaluation. Subtle Anatomy & Physiology.

Month 10:
Panchakarma Theory. Theories of Detoxification.

Year One Competencies:

How to take an Ayurvedic assessment to discern Prakriti & Vikriti; make dietary recommendations based on the above; design daily & seasonal routines; create herbal digestive formulas & spice mixtures; introduce ways to bring harmony to mental & emotional functioning.
